SSC169 Beautiful Day

Happy Wednesday, everyone!  Hope your week is going well so far!  Today starts the new Occasions catalog as well as the Sale-a-bration promotion!  Always a fun time for Stampin' Up!, so I decided to use the new Beautiful Day set to make a card using these pretty colors from Sunday Stamps:

The challenge requires you to use at least three of the colors, so I used Sahara Sand, Flirty Flamingo/Cameo Coral and Night of Navy:

I stamped a background using images from Touches of Texture, then added a panel from Petal Garden DSP and a little scallop and diecut  layer cut from a piece of Naturally Eclectic DSP along the edge.

I inked up floral image with Versamark first, then Flirty Flamingo, stamped it on a piece of watercolor paper and heat-embossed it with clear embosing powder.  Then I loosely watercolored inside the embossed images in Flirty Flamingo, Cameo Coral and Sahara Sand.  I added some speckles, fussy-cut it out and popped it up on some dimensionals.

My final touch was some sequins and a sentiment from December's Paper Pumpkin kit!  This card is already in the mail to a special customer!  Glad you could pop in to see it!

I gave Cassidy a little "robot" kit for Christmas...silly me, I thought you could actually make it DO something, but it was more of a kit to learn how to BUILD something....I admit, I was a bit disappointed, but she learned what all the parts were, lining them up, and then learned how to use the tool to assemble it:

And with a wee little bit of help, this is what the robot looks like:

He's a wee little thing, too...although in Coastal Cabana and Basic Black, he's quite stylish, don't you think?!!!  Have a great day and be blessed!

That robot is so sweet. You are helping to create a future robotics engineer, maybe? Your card is put together nicely too! Off to Perry's scan and chemo. Then I return to the card room...to clean up the MESS!

This is so perfectly lovely - I think my all time fave coloring of this blossom so far, for sure. The touch of spritz adds so much texture! Thanks so much for joining us at Sunday Stamps!
